About us
Software for the businesses everyone else forgets.
A boutique might rent out a lehenga, sell a saree outright and take an order through an Instagram DM, all in the same afternoon. Almost nothing on the market is built for that.
Why we started
Rental and retail software is mostly built for large, single-category operations — one warehouse, one product type, one sales channel. The shops we kept meeting were none of those. They were running on notebooks, WhatsApp chats and memory, not because they wanted to, but because nothing on offer fit the way they already worked.
A booking is not a sale. It occupies a range of dates, it comes home, it needs cleaning, and it has to be ready to go out again. Software that has never had to model that gets worked around rather than used — so the notebook stays, and the real record of the business stays in someone’s head.
The gap is rarely a missing feature. It is that nobody building the software watched the work being done. So we started at the counter: the questions asked on a Saturday, the promises made in a DM, the deposit taken in cash.
The gap we close
Same shop, same Saturday, handled two ways.
One Saturday, two ways
10:40
On a notebook
- A lehenga promised in a DM and written into the notebook
- “Is this free on the 14th?” answered from memory, again
- The same piece promised twice, and nobody finds out until Friday
- An advance taken, noted on a phone, reconciled later if at all
- A customer asks what you have, and waits until the morning
On Lekkora
- An order, with those dates blocked the moment it is confirmed
- Availability answered from a screen anyone at the counter can open
- The second request sees the clash before a word is promised
- Money recorded against the order, with what is still owed in view
- They browse your storefront and send an enquiry that is ready
How we build
What we will do, and what we won’t.
We will
- Start from the counter — a double booking, a lost DM, a deposit nobody logged — rather than a spec sheet.
- Say plainly what is not built yet, including on this page.
- Keep it learnable in a day. If it needs a manual, it is not finished.
- Let you bring in what you already have, rather than re-keying it.
We won’t
- Ship a feature we cannot explain in one sentence.
- Show you invented customers, logos or reviews to look bigger than we are.
- Bolt rental onto software that was only ever built to sell.
- Pretend a busy Saturday looks like a product demo.
Who builds it
Made by Evolqon Technologies LLP.
Evolqon is a small software company in Bengaluru that licenses the products it builds and takes on client work alongside them. The Lekkora is its first product; The Class Room and Rent Madi are in development.
That matters here for one reason. The person who answers your support message is the person who wrote the code, which is a strong incentive not to ship the clever thing that is hard to explain.
Where we are today
Lekkora is in early access. We’re working closely with a small group of boutiques, jewellery rental businesses and Instagram sellers to get the details right before opening up more broadly. That means we sometimes say not yet — and that we’d rather tell you what it doesn’t do than have you find out in your second week.
If that sounds like your business, we’d like to hear from you. The features page covers what is working now, and the user guide walks through a full day on it.
